The Decision to Make a Difference

Published

Today marks five years to the day that I made the biggest (and best) career decision of my life. After 24 years with the same company I chose to step away from very lucrative and safe corporate position to follow my heart and dreams. Looking back, my life actually changed forever in April 2010 when my good friend Jack Kelly left us to be in a better place. A week later at #21’s emotional service I told his three beautiful daughters that I would try to do something special to honor their father. With the incredibly generous support of countless people, that “something special” has turned into something “really special”. Leaving the security and comfort of something I had known for most of my adult life was uncomfortable, unknown and definitely scary. But luckily I’m married to the most wonderful person that has the utmost confidence in me and provides the required unwavering support. Yeah, I know I’m a super lucky guy. Dawg Nation is truly “our” foundation, and when I say “our”, it belongs to all of you. I am incredibly honored and humbled to lead something so special, so important, so amazing. Thank you all that helped make this life changing decision possible. It is my promise to all of you that I will continue to do my very best to make the world a better place. GO DAWGS!!
