Giving Back to Crissa Doeppke

Published

On Thursday night we were again reminded of how Dawg Nation got its start. Friends and Teammates of Crissa Doeppke gathered at the infamous Benders Bar & Grill for a hang. Behind the scenes, Hilary McNeish had activated the power of the hockey community and began passing the hat back in July. Hilary, alongside friends Lisa, Stephanie, and Shawn  set out to help their friend with expenses incurred after her next door neighbors house exploded in the middle of the night. The group has also come together to replace stolen Goalie equipment and even went as far as having a brand new goalie helmet made by Warwick Masks . The Surprise remained intact as Cappy drove his brand new DAWGmobile right up to the front door with big check in hand.  It all came together beautifully in another touching night of Giving Back.

A FELLOW GOALIE DISPLACED

Crissa Doeppke, nominated by fellow goalie Hilary McNeish, has become displaced from her house due an explosion next door causing damage to Chrissa’s house. Crissa stated, “Well, on top of all the devastation I’m already dealing with, on Thursday I found out that I’m out of pocket almost fifty thousand dollars, most of which is to remove the remains of my former neighbor’s house from my property. Then I discovered yesterday that my garage was robbed. They ransacked it and took some power tools and hockey gear.
