Read Bio

In March 2019, Jonny Landis suffered a catastrophic 42-foot fall that resulted in a traumatic brain injury, 163 skull fractures, and more than 100 strokes. Doctors gave him just a 0.01% chance of survival, and he spent 60 days in a coma fighting for his life. What followed was a long and difficult recovery journey that demanded extraordinary courage, perseverance, and the unwavering support of family, friends, and medical professionals.

As Jon continued his recovery, he embraced a mindset that became his personal rallying cry: “Never Stop the Fight.” Through the DAWG Nation Hockey Foundation and its Hockey Heals program, he found a community that helped him rebuild confidence, rediscover purpose, and return to the ice. Jon not only became a valued member of the Hockey Heals family, but also joined the DAWG Nation team, dedicating himself to supporting others facing adversity. In another remarkable milestone, he recently graduated from the University of Colorado Boulder with a degree in Communications and Leadership. Today, Jon’s journey stands as a powerful testament to resilience, proving that even in the face of overwhelming odds, hope, determination, and a commitment to never stop the fight can transform tragedy into purpose and inspire countless others to keep moving forward.
