After my last update, the hits just kept coming but I’m still standing and feel like my luck is turning around! After sharing my Graves Disease diagnosis I promptly got into a my first car accident in over 30 years! Pretty minor in the end with no injuries but a nice car repair bill! After that is was back to the doc to find out I have hernia! Likely related to Graves, but dodged a bullet as no surgery is required. Just when I thought it couldn’t get worse I was ended up with COVID! My compromised immune system had those fun symptoms last two full weeks! And all this was happening in the last week of tax season! It would be easy to feel sorry for myself but I choose thankfulness. During all that chaos I was somehow able to fill up the Dawg Bowl with a whopping 56 teams and also land over $100k in sponsorships! Those funds are earmarked for families that have way bigger challenges than the little bumps in the road that yours truly is facing. Thank you all for the well wishes, the hugs, the texts, the calls, the support and the love that makes me feel like one of the luckiest guys around! Last night I was blessed to hang out with my little pal Hunter who continues his battle against cancer. This morning it was another Molly 5K on a beautiful Colorado day. And tonight it’s all about the brave and resilient Hilary as we celebrate the incredible ladies in the women’s hockey world! LFG!!
