It was quite the hockey weekend with two straight days of pond hockey and even snuck in an Avs game to boot! Five hours on the pond is a little much for a chubby little fella that’s better days are definitely in the rearview mirror, but that said, felling pretty fortunate I can still somewhat pull it off!
Today’s skate was at John Dolan’s absolutely spectacular outdoor rink near Pine. Truly hockey heaven! I decided to sport another of my favorite sweaters, this time my custom Metro State #8 that Cody Beekman generously presented to me on a very special night several years ago.
Last night included a thrilling Avs win, but more importantly included a check presentation to Jack Wilshek. Jack has thrived despite the challenges that come with epilepsy and his goal is to utilize the funds to secure a life changing seizure response dog. Hats off to everyone that lent a hand in helping Jack and the countless souls that continue to step up to aid other families in need.
