It was quite a day at the Davis house as we joined forces wirh Swinerton Construction to lift up another family in need! Susie Davis is the wife of John Davis, a long time youth hockey coach that has impacted the lives of many. Last November, a back surgery that was expected to change the life of Susie for the better resulted in paralysis from the waist down.
It only took one phone call to the big hearted folks at Swinerton Construction to put the wheels in motion to change the lives of this deserving family. Several hours later we had a wheelchair ramp built, doorways widened and French doors installed! Susie can now finally enjoy her home again, including spending time on her back deck in tbe warm Colorado sun!
In the midst of all the action, we took a moment to share our story and the Davis’ story. This set the stage for us to hand out another check to a family in need that will help lighten the load of the financial burden that the last year has put on this great family!
At the end of the day, an emotional John Davis exclaimed, “this isn’t a game changer, it’s a life changer!”
