It was an extra special Hockey Heals today as the “one and only” Hunter Murphy made his very first HH appearance. Most of you know Hunter as the brave little hockey player that has battled sarcoma that resulted in a large portion of the bones in his right leg being replaced by titanium rods. That hasn’t stopped this warrior though as he wowed us all this morning with some dazzling stick handling and a sic goal!
It’s a big week for Hunter as a 1.5 centimeter tumor was recently discovered in his lungs. This Friday our badass buddy will undergo surgery once again, this time to remove the pesky tumor. We are all hoping and praying that this will mark the end of friend’s battle with the “C” word, and he’ll return to being a regular kid with a really cool story.
