It was quite a day beginning with an early morning Hockey Heals skate. The ice was filled with inspiration including Van Stone (TBI), Taylor Ludy (hockey accident that nearly took his leg) and Nick Fioretto (battling cancer).
From there it was to Ball Arena for the morning skate with my man Hunter Murphy. A slew of folks stopped by for visits including Parker Kelly, Marc Moser, Mikey Eyssimont and Mark Rycroft. But it didn’t end there, on our way out we connected with Lightning head coach Jon Cooper and Avs star Nathan MacKinnon. After a short conversation we then ran into Avs forward Mikko Rantanen!
Hunter has been through a lot over the last six months and boy does it feel good to see an ear to ear grin on a kid that can really use it!
