Happy Independence Day to everyone, and especially to those who have served or will be serving.We want to recognize Dawg Nation intern Alec Whipple, who is making a big impact both on and off the ice.Alec became the first University of Denver player to take on ROTC while also playing varsity hockey. This summer, he is training at West Point before returning to the blue line next season to help defend a national championship.We are proud to have young men like this as part of the Dawg Nation community.
