In conjunction with our terrific sponsor, Megan Doser of Dr. Fix It, we hosted one of our biggest and most heartfelt Survivor Games in Dawg Nation history. This one was special, on so many levels, and promoted the importance of organ donation. It was incredible that we were blessed to have 5 heart transplant recipients as a part of this year’s game, including our own Patrick Donnelly who received his long awaited heart just two months prior to the game. The highlight of the event was perhaps the biggest “Cappy Magic” surprise of all time… as the Dawg Father, whose brother Nigel received a heart two years ago, orchestrated a surprise visit of Nigel’s donor’s family. The emotional meeting occurred during the pregame festivities, leaving the packed house searching for tissues. We want to thank Luke Jones for a stirring rendition of the National Anthem, and Lily for performing the best ceremonial puck drop ever.
