ENDING 2023 ON A HIGH NOTE

Published

Tony Salazar was a gifted hockey player that was well on his way to a career in the sport he loves when a knee on knee hit in the CHSSA playoffs derailed his plans and changed the trajectory of his life. That injury didn’t just end Tony’s high school hockey career, but also led to some very serious heart issues that nearly ended his life. Lengthy hospital stays, uncertainty and unfulfilled dreams all contributed to Tony falling into a deep hole that included addiction. It hasn’t been easy, but Tony came out on the other side and is absolutely thriving! We shared lunch today and talked about a lot of things. I listened and beamed with pride to hear that Tony is now a district manager at Cobblestone Car Wash, that he has a great relationship with a beautiful partner, that he sees a very bright future, that he has found sobriety, but mostly that he is happy. Tony, I could not be prouder of you.
