Last night was an absolute heartbreaker for all of us Avs fans, but I really couldn’t be happier for Matt Duchene. I’ve known Matt for over ten years and time and time again he’s shown kindness and compassion when it’s needed most. I often share stories of families in need with #95 and without hesitation, he sends texts, videos and even makes phone calls to folks he doesn’t even know.
I love seeing good things happen to good people, and seeing my friend’s jubilation after his OT winner put a smile on my face and made the tough loss just a little bit easier to swallow.
Congrats Matty D and best of luck in reaching the Holy Grail of hockey!
