Giving Back to the Ciolli Family

Helping an Incredible Young Man

A pre Thanksgiving gathering to help an incredible young man. DAWG Nation had the immense pleasure of joining forces with the Rampage hockey club in surprising yet another deserving family. Luke Ciolli grew up in Colorado Springs excelling at anything he set his mind to. A terrific hockey player and an even better student, Luke is every parent’s or coach’s dream. Playing his final year of junior hockey for the Fairbanks Ice Dogs, Luke was looking toward having a big year before heading to West Point to be a member of the Army hockey squad. Headaches and dizziness brought Luke back to Colorado in October and less than a week later he was in the operating room as doctors removed a large tumor from his brain. While this news shook the Ciolli family to the core, this amazing young man dusted himself off and immediately began making plans to get back on the ice and ultimately suit up for the Black Knights.

A New Milestone

The emotional check presentation was also a huge milestone for DAWG Nation as we officially exceeded over $400,000 in recipient checks this year alone. An all time record! Thank you everyone that has made 2020 the most incredible year in our history!!

A Note from Luke’s Dad

Mike Ciolli, “All of the love and support have been super helpful.  Luke has been progressing well through his treatments and recovery.   Hoping that the coming months here are full of more positives!

Again, we are so thankful for DAWG Nation Foundation’s help!”

Thank you for the rally to help this fellow hockey player, son, and future West Point graduate. #hockeystrong
