Rosado

Mike Rosado died in a tragic accident on May 24th while longboarding around Sloan’s Lake. He left behind a wife, two daughters, and one grandchild.

Mike was a Firefighter/ Paramedic with the City of Westminster, as well as an Instructor for several programs around the State. His time spent teaching, and his passion for helping others had a huge impact for citizens in and around the Denver Metro area. His dedication will be missed.

Mike was also passionate about hockey. He helped form the North Area Fire Department’s Hockey Team, often playing as a Goalie. His enthusiasm for the sport led to many members signing on to play, even a few who had never played before.

Mike’s family was honored on August 19, 2018 at the Edge Ice Arena with a check of $11,700.

Sunday was a bittersweet day as DAWG Nation joined forces with several local fire departments to honor one of their fallen heroes. Mike Rosado was a devoted husband, loving father, reliable teammate and a friend you could count on. Sadly, Mike passed away in May and last night the Edge Ice Arena was filled with his friends and family, honoring this kind soul. Mike leaves behind a wife (Codi) and two daughters.

The powerful day was capped as DAWG Nation joined our firefighting friends in the presentation of a check for $11,700 to a grateful and emotional Codi. This is a tragic loss and one that has affected everyone, but none more than Mike’s beloved Codi. This is a true love story that dates back to their teenage years and we hope this small gesture will help ease some of the stress as the family begins to put the pieces back together.
