This past Saturday we spent some time at the 2nd annual Rocky Mountain Mayhem Sled Hockey Tournament at Big Bear Ice Arena! It was incredible seeing athletes of all ages from around the country out on the ice.
Recently, former recipient Jerry DeVaul contacted us and shared the story of Dennis Houston who was in need of some help. Dennis is a T8 paraplegic who was injured in a car accident in 2018. Recently a pressure sore injury left Dennis hospitalized and out of work for
several months. He’s doing better now and almost cleared to get back on the ice to play hockey!
We were thrilled to present Dennis with a check to help with his ongoing medical bills! A huge thank you to Jerry DeVaul and the Colorado Sled Hockey community for introducing us to Dennis! We can’t wait to see him back on the ice soon!
