In the wake of an unimaginable tragedy, our community has come together to support Anze Nelimark, who has endured the heartbreaking loss of his entire immediate family. While no amount of support can ever replace those he loved, we have an opportunity to stand beside him as he begins the difficult journey forward. Hockey has been a major part of Anze’s life since 2011.
Throughout the years, he has earned the respect of teammates, coaches, and friends alike. He is the kind of player every team needs—a true “glue guy” who brings people together, keeps spirits high, and makes everyone around him better. Whether on the ice, in the locker room, or in everyday life, Anze has always been known for his positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to support others. Anze also took great pride in being a big brother. He cared deeply for his family and embraced the responsibility of looking out for those he loved.
The loss he has experienced is difficult to comprehend, but the strength, character, and compassion that have always defined him remain. Despite everything he has endured, Anze continues to look toward the future. He has been accepted to CU Denver and plans to begin pursuing a degree in Healthcare Management in the fall of 2027. His goal is to build a meaningful career helping others and making a positive impact in the lives of those around him. Today, we are asking for your support.
