What
The Jay Sharrers Officiating School is a three-day ice hockey officiating camp featuring classroom instruction, on-ice training, and live game evaluations.
The school is designed to:
1) Enhance both on-ice and off-ice skills of grassroots officials through a collaborative environment focused on coaching, learning, and camaraderie.
2) Support and grow a scholarship fund managed by the DAWG Nation Hockey Foundation, with funds reserved exclusively for school participants.
3) Strengthen official retention by providing dedicated members of the officiating community with financial assistance toward post-secondary education.

The school is open to grassroots officials (ages 14+) from the host state, neighboring states, and across North America.
How
Registration is open to certified ice hockey officials ages 14 and older with at least one year of experience. A tiered fee structure applies, with discounts and early-bird pricing available for Rocky Mountain District officials.
May 1, 2026 – early bird registration for RMD officials ages 14-19
May 15, 2026 – registration open for everyone
July 24, 2026 – registration deadline
