Starting Lineup

One of my most cherished hockey experiences is announcing the Humboldt Bronco starting lineup. It’s become a quite a tradition that was initiated in 2023 under Scott Barney’s leadership and continues with the new head man Brayden Kilmosko. Going into last night the Broncos were a perfect 4-0 when yours truly pumped up the boys! However the streak was looking bleak with the home team down 3-1 with just a few minutes remaining, but two quick goals including one with just 25 seconds remaining had the game all knotted up and overtime looked imminent! Well all good things must come to an end and that’s exactly what happened when Melfort lit the lamp with just four seconds left on the clock!

It was a tough pill to swallow, but at the same time it was one heck of an effort by the always resilent Broncos! Along the way we tried luck at curling and even skated on the legendary Humboldt ice!

Today we put a bow on another wonderful trip by sharing stories of second chances and triumph with the Bronco players and the fine folks of Humboldt!
