On January 29, a devastating multi-vehicle crash involving a snowplow and a van carrying California’s Santa Clarita Lady Flyers 12U girls hockey team occurred on eastbound Interstate 70 west of Idaho Springs.
The van was transporting part of the team to a tournament in Littleton. The driver, a team parent, was killed in the crash and eight others were seriously injured.
This tragedy has deeply impacted the team, their families, and the Santa Clarita hockey community. The emotional, medical, and logistical burdens facing these families are immense.
