With record temps across the Colorado front range, the 2025-26 pond season has been quite a challenge. Despite the curve balls from Mother Nature, John Dolan has miraculously been able keep his rink of dreams up and running with amazing ice to boot!
It was another unseasonably warm day but that didn’t stop our motely crew of puckheads from making the trek up US285. I love to rotate my favorite hockey jerseys (sweaters), so today it was a day to represent my beloved Humboldt Broncos!
Making today even more special was sharing the ice with the one and only Derek “Army” Armstrong. Army still has game and also a few NHL tricks up he sleeve, but by far the best part of Derek is his true love of the game.
