I made the long trek to Blue Arena last night and boy was it worth it. Thanks to the generosity of Eagles owner Martin Lind, I spent the evening with the Costa family in the owner’s suite. Sawyer Costa was an adventurous ten year old with a spirit that was best described as “fearless”. Tragically, the world lost a beautiful soul in May when Sawyer was hit by car while selling lemonade. At the end of a memorable night, Kim (Sawyer’s mom), surprised me with a special jersey in Sawyer’s honor. Donned with all of her favorite things including pickles, chickens and Sawyer’s trademark #6, this instantly became one of my favorite jerseys!
Thank you Kim and Brett, I will wear it proudly!
