It was a memorable night at Blue Arena as we teamed with Colorado Eagles to lift up the well deserving Costa family. Brett Costa was paralyzed in car accident in February of 2024 and fifteen months later this hockey family lost their beautiful ten year old daughter (Sawyer) when she was hit by a car. The kind hearted Eagles owner, Martin Lind, donated his personal suite and Eagles star defenseman Jacob MacDonald joined the group with a suite visit and signed pucks for all the kids. The Costa’s have endured more than any family should ever have to and there have been many tears and many down days, but last night was not one of them. Kim, the family’s rock, shared, “it was a great night, our family hasn’t smiled and laughed like this for months!” Thank you Colorado Eagles and all those that continue to go the extra mile to lift those up when they.need it most.
