Nearly 50 years ago a then fourteen year old Jeff Wiemelt gave me his “hand me down” hockey skates. Those were my very first hockey skates and I spent hours skating on our Indian Hills pond learning how to play the game that has become a huge part of my life. Those skates have been long retired but they will always be my favorite!
I have always admired my friend Jeff, and feel so blessed that we are still friends today. He has led a remarkable life that began from humble beginnings and eventually led to the title of CEO of a world class company. Now retired, but still very active, Jeff laced up the skates with me yesterday as we laughed, smiled and brought back memories of that little pond bonded us for life.
