Jody Mintken

John and Jody Mintken are long- time, Grand County locals, with John owning and running The Artic Door Company and Jody owning and operating Channel 17 Mountain TV. They are also a true hockey family. Both John and their son have played hockey for decades, including on the Fraser league. John and Jody have recently become empty-nesters, with both their children away in college. Recently, their family received some devastating news as Jody was diagnosed with late-stage, rectal cancer. Being the fighters they are, the Mintken family has pulled together to battle this disease with everything they have. Jody also has a strong support group of women in her corner, where she is known as “Bass Ass Jody”. While she and John would never ask for help or start a “Go Fund Me” type campaign, there is no doubt that the ongoing chemotherapy and radiation treatments are not only taking a toll physically and emotionally, but also financially. With their dedication to Grand County, as well as their ties to the greater hockey community.
