As Cindy and I head to out on our annual Humboldt trip, we can’t help but think of the “no coincidences” around this year’s trip. As we head to the Saskatchewan Prairie to honor the Bronco families that were impacted on April 6, 2018 it is not lost that just one day ago another bus crash carrying hockey players occurred just miles from our home. Despite yesterday’s tragedy that took the life of hockey dad and sent eight to hospital, the Lady Flyers of Santa Clarita still took the ice this morning. There were tears, there were hugs and there was a show of genuine love for Lady Flyer family. I’ll be doing the starting lineup in the Humboldt Bronco locker room tonight, and as I look around the room I’ll be thinking of the families of the Broncos and of the Lady Flyers. I’ll also be thinking of all of you that continue to provide support for those in need. Santa Clarita Lady Flyers
