It was a special night in Humboldt, Saskatchewan as we made our annual trek to the Canadian Prairie to support our Bronco family to the north. We were joined by many of the Humboldt families that were part of the 2018 crash including Layne Matechuk and his parents. Layne suffered a traumatic brain injury in the infamous accident and despite daily challenges is thriving today. #28 kicked off the Humboldt/Warman game with the ceremonial puck drop and the Dawg Father rallied the boys with an electrifying starting lineup!
The boys responded with a nail biting 4-3 overtime victory and we put a cap on the evening. After the game we ramped up the celebration by surprising the team with a donation to support the Broncos. The donation will be used to add a sauna to the facilities and it will be aptly titled the “DAWG POUND”.
Now onto day two as we visit the crash site and root on the Broncos again!
