Hockey is for Everyone

Here at Dawg Nation we believe hockey is for everyone, and so we were especially honored to have the Colorado Special Hockey group come and play a fast and fun game at this year’s Dawg Bowl. Special Hockey International is an international organization for special hockey clubs and teams. It is a non-governmental organization, that promotes ice hockey in an inclusive environment for athletes with a developmental disability. The goal of special hockey is to give people with cognitive and/or developmental disabilities the chance to play the sport of ice hockey in an environment which is adapted to the level of ability. Special Hockey emphasizes players to have fun through teamwork, social interaction, and improving the quality of life through on and off ice activities. In other words… these players live the dawg nation motto every day of playing hard, playing fair, and giving back. We want to give a big shout out to the players and the parents who made it possible for us to host this great group of hockey players at the tournament.
