Each week Hockey Heals includes a special moment or two. However, today’s session was filled with special moments as we welcomed Nick, Mike and Sienna!
Nick Jordan is an Army veteran that was involved in a motorcycle accident in 2020 that broke his femur in three places and shattered his shin. Today he was on ice and wowing us all!
Sienna Garaffa suffered a traumatic brain injury in a hydroplaning car accident in May of 2024. The road to recovery has been a long one but today we were blown away as Sienna amazed us with her incredible skating and some fancy stick handling!
Mike Melby is a Minnesota native that grew up with skates on his feet. Mike’s life forever changed in 2024 as bone cancer resulted in the removal of four ribs a portion of his sternum. Today Mike placed cancer in the rearview mirror and looked like he never missed a beat!
