Hilary McNeish is a woman of many talents and at the top of list is her incredible artistic ability! I was lucky enough to see some of her work yesterday and then she unexpectedly made Cindy’s night!
When I met Cindy her hockey knowledge (and interest) was pretty limited. When she started watching games with me she quickly gravitated to some fella named Mike Modano, exclaiming, “wow, that guy’s really cute!” I chimed in, “he’s also one of the greatest American players ever!”. To this day, Cindy’s second favorite team is Dallas because of the Stars’ legend.
Back to last night. As Hilary was showing us some of her amazing work, Cindy instantly recognized her hockey crush (not me, the other guy!) As she admired the incredible painting, Hilary said, “would you like it, because I’d love to give to you.” Moments later the artist added her signature and my gal was beaming!
Wow, what a thoughtful and amazing gift! Hilary, you’re such a wonderful and giving person, I am beyond honored to call you my dear friend! Thank you!
P.S. – the Patrick Roy picture behind Hilary and I was also painted by Hilary for #33 himself!
