Five For Fighting

After Tuesday’s memorable night, one might say that I kinda became a “Five for Fighting” groupie! The usual morning routine was followed by a four hour trek to Grand Junction to catch John and boys again!

This time I was able to include another stellar cast of characters highlighted by a young lady that has made a miraculous recovery from a hydroplaning accident. Fifteen months ago a terrifying crash left Siena Garaffa (then 17) clinging to life with a traumatic brain injurry. Surrounded by an amazing family, Siena’s journey has been nothing short of a miracle, and last night we celebrated second chances and the power of love!

Another post concert meeting with the “Five for Fighting” front man gave me the opportunity to give John a small token of our appreciation by presenting him with a Dawgs jersey, signed by Milan Hejduk of course! He instantly pulled it on and posed for pics with our crew!

This trip also included quality time with the incredible Dave “DREP” Repsher. Dave continues to wow of all with his beyond miraculous journey.

Although, tempted, I’ve decided not to make the 4 1/2 hour excursion to Salt Lake City to complete the “Five for Fighting” hat trick! But what a great couple of days of amazing memories!
