Wrapped up a super busy weekend by sharing the APEX ice with members of Colorado Center
For the Blind. The session was the brain child of Craig Fitzpatrick as he continues to work tirelessly to bring the game of of hockey to the visually impaired community.
For me personally the genuine smiles and hugs of appreciation made the fitting in of yet another event in jam packed weekend, worth every second.
Bhanvi (blind since birth) – “thank you for teaching me to skate, I feel completely free.”
Matt (lost in sight in an accident four years ago) – “I didn’t think I would ever skate again.”
Owen (an amazing kid that doesn’t let blindness slow him down) – “ let’s race!”
