It was quite a way to kick off my b-day celebration! Up early to share the ice with my Hockey Heals family. As I left the locker room I was welcomed with a love note on the ice that was followed by a hockey player rendition of “Happy Birthday”! Pretty special! After the skate it was off to breakfast with my brother (Nigel) and my dear friend Dave Carr where the conversation centered around how lucky we all are. Thank you to everyone that has called, sent texts, wrote a note or gave me well wishes in person. You have made me this old guy feel pretty darn good!
