Been a while since I skated with this amazing crew. Dave Carr is lucky to be alive after a head on crash in 2020, Nathan Abelein’s wife was told to make arrangements because her husband wasn’t going to survive COVID, Patrick Donnely gets up every day with a battery keeping his heart beating, and Van Stone is simply incredible. A traumatic brain injury made the simplest tasks a major chore, today I watched him skate, pass, shoot and even score a goal!!! ”Inspirational” may be overused, but not with this crew, this is what life is all about! Here’s to making the most with the cards you’re dealt! You guys inspire me!!
