It was a memorable night at the Sports Stable as I joined a few of the Hockey Heals crew on the ice for sled hockey game against a team of firefighters. I definitely stepped out of my comfort zone, but loved every minute of it, especially sharing the ice with my pal Ashton Stephenson. Ashton has had a really rough patch over the last month, and it was important to get him back on the ice and enjoy life!
Along the way I spent time with an amazing young girl, Lucy Harris, that is just now finding her way after a car accident left her paralyzed.
And we capped off the night presenting the inspirational sled program with a check for $2,500.
