Over the last ten plus years, Milan and I have shared quite a few special moments together, but this one may take the cake! Donning the visually impaired googles we took the ice yesterday with members of the US National Blind team at Dawg Bowl XIV. We were out of our element and definitely struggled, but combining for a sweet goal with my buddy was pretty darn cool. Love that Hedgie isn’t afraid to put himself out there to lift others, setting an example for all of us to follow. Sharing the ice with these remarkable athletes was pretty special, but the payoff pitch was seeing smiles and hearing all the grateful comments of blind players as we did our best to build awareness for this amazing group. Hockey truly is for everyone!!
