Pretty special day at today’s Hockey Heals as we welcomed Kenny Hughes into our pack. It was also a very special day for Kenny as today he celebrated the seven year anniversary of his sobriety!
Exactly seven years ago today Kenny had his last drink at this very location. As Kenny skated out, I instantly noticed an “HH” on the front of his jersey. I asked him if that was a special jersey he made for Hockey Heals. Kenny responded it was actually the initials of his son Hunter Hughes. The same son that Kenny chose over the bottle seven years ago. How about that?!
Today we celebrated life, hockey and second chances. Truly, what Hockey Heals is all about!
