Like so many of you, I am still reeling from the loss of a pillar in our hockey community. I’ve thought about Peter quite a bit over the last few days. As I relaxed in front of the fire, sifting through countless pictures and memories, it occurred to me that Maxy literally knew my entire family. From Cindy, to all three of my girls, to my brother, to my son in law, to my parents, and even my granddaughters. Talking to Cindy, Trevor, Sydney, Nigel and my mother about their personal stories of Peter has been very therapeutic for me, and seeing all of my family pics with the original #8 brings a smile to my face. Reading all the amazing tributes and beautiful stories from so many of you makes one realize how many lives my friend touched, and that is pretty darn awesome!
In the end, isn’t that what it’s all about? Here’s you Maxy, and a life well lived!
