It was probably the loudest arena I’ve ever been in as we witnessed an epic Oiler comeback highlighted by Matthias Janmark’s short handed goal that absolutely brought the house down!
It was kind of full circle as I met Matthias nearly seven years ago when he played for the Dallas Stars and joined us when I hosted Humboldt Bronco survivors Ryan Straschnitzki and Jacob Wassermann at a Denver Broncos game! And as fate would have it, I was of course with Ryan Straz last night!
The memorable night included time with TNT’s Kenny Albert and Eddie Olczyk, a visit from HOFer Kevin Lowe, a Connor McDavid sweater, and lots of quality time with Mike and Lea Stelter.
Once again this was all made possible by my good pal Carl Poole who never ceases to amaze by putting together these incredible experiences.
The cherry on top was having my pal Greg Hunter by my side for all the festivities. Greg is the biggest Oiler fan I know and was the perfect “partner in crime” for this one!
Here’s to the NHL payoffs, there’s nothing quite like it!
