It’s tough to say “goodbye” to your favorite “partner in crime” of all time! Over the last three years I have made more memories and witnessed more powerful moments than any time in my entire life, and each time Mike “Smalls” Freeman was right by my side.
I’ve watched Smalls touch lives, change lives and even save lives. Our cause is one that can’t be measured monetarily, but is measured instead by the tears, smiles and laughter of those that we are blessed to be connected with.
I’m sad, but at the same time excited for my friend as he returns to his familiar role in the public education world. My loss is Jeffco’s gain as Mike will surely continue to positively impact the lives of many and make a difference.
