Giving Back to Sarah Fay

Presenting check to Sarah Fay

It was another special day as we joined Max Wright and his hard working crew for the 2nd Leland Fay Golf Tourney. It was another terrific example of teamwork and giving back as we worked together to help a wonderful family that is still working through their devastating loss. Special thanks to long time Av Brett Clark and decorated veteran Cory Myers for helping represent DAWG Nation on this beautiful Colorado day.

After a terrific morning of golf at the Antler Creek Golf Course, golfers and supporters rallied around a silent auction and live auction. Max Wright, volunteers, and donors put on an impressive display of items, including a signed Romanski jersey, an Eric Johnson gamed used stick, a Kissing Camels Foursome with a Prime 25 dinner, a Pradera Foursome, Raiders vs Broncos tickets, and more.

All of the hard work paid off as the event culminated with Max Wright and DAWG Nation being able to present a check to Sarah Fay and her two boys for $17,000. Just as important as the financial support, the event was a reimnder of the importance of continuing to walk alongside a family in their loss. Clearly, the legacy of Leland Fay lives on through all the people who love him and have stepped up to help his family.

The DAWG Nation foursome was honored to have Brett Clark, former NHL player, and Cory Myers, a veteran of the US Army. Brett carried the team with his incredible golf game. Brett’s athleticism, from hockey to golf, is something to behold. Cory is a veteran of the Army and served tours in Iraq, Afganistan, Iraq, and the Afganistan again. It was our privilege to spend the day with this dedicated veteran!
