A special day…
A pretty special day here for all of us at DAWG Nation as we got to present the final check to Jason “Shep” Shepperly and his lovely wife Ashley, surprising them yet again with a larger than expected final total, in excess of $74K! Jason’s story is so compelling and his character so stellar (on and off the ice) that donations continued to roll in even after the last puck had been dropped at DAWG Bowl IX.
They were shocked with the new total and overwhelmed at the generosity of everyone… and so incredibly grateful. In addition we were also able to deliver the one-of-a-kind American Flag wall art, a beautiful piece of woodworking, crafted by DAWG Nation’s own Andrew “Cookie” Pfankuch. Ashley and Jason were so moved by this piece that they proceeded to hang in up then and there, prominently displaying it in the big family kitchen, for all to enjoy.
A big thank you to Cookie, and to all our players, refs and attendees at DAWG Bowl IX for making all of this possible. I know we’ve said it before, but it truly bears repeating… we couldn’t do what we do without all of you.
