A donation after a tragic event.
Doug Smail, a former NHL star and long time hockey coach was dealt the worst blow any parent can be dealt when he lost his son Cody in 2011. Cody was a young man that followed in his father’s footsteps with his love of hockey.
At the 2015 “Tee it Up for DAWG Nation” golf tournament Cody was honored when a check in the amount of $2,620.00 was donated to the “American Foundation for Suicide Prevention” in his name.
