An Emotional Remembrance
It was an emotional remembrance of one of Monument Ice Rink’s own on January 29, 2022. Brian Crombie was celebrated by his wife and members of his Mounument Ice Rink Family. Brian lost a battle with five different cancers, complicated by COVID, on November 22, 2022. DAWG Nation was honored to have his wife, Sheila Crombie, present the rink with a check to continue the good work and legacy of Coach Brian. Sheila expressed her grattitude for the tribute and said,”Brian brought his best self to yo guys… he would have benn here 24/7 if he could have managed it.”
Mark Cooper did a tremendous job of bringing the group together to honor “the light and laughter” of the Monument Ice Rink family. Al and Andrew Sherman have built an amazing place that so many hockey and figure skaters call home. DAWG Nation is honored to be a part of keeping Brian’s legacy going by providing funding for the Monument Ice Rink and programming that was critical to Brian.
