Dylan is an avid hockey player and fan and has never been one to shy away from adversity. He has battled leukemia for the last six years but that hasn’t stopped him from leading life to its fullest. His tight knit group of hockey friends get together often, and at one of those recent outings he was involved in an ATV accident that resulted in the fracture of his T5 vertebrae. The injury was very severe and ultimately resulted in paralysis from the middle of his chest down.
Dylan and his wife (Chris) are adjusting to a new life that will result in a long hospital stay and an uncertain future. The injury will likely result in a new career path for Dylan and create several financial challenges. A Colorado native and lifelong hockey player, Dylan is a diehard Colorado Avalanche fan and wears #14 in honor of another cancer survivor, Ian Laperriere. The accident will leave Dylan paralyzed and unable to participate in the thing he loves the most, hockey.
