The Allan Family needs support.
DAWG Nation is happy to help another member of the hockey community. Valerie Allan is the wife of long time Colorado hockey player Andy Allan.
Here’s a note from Andy:
Valerie is the strongest person we know, in fact, she’s the strongest person most people know. Three years ago, when the cancer struck, she never wavered and vowed that she would fight. And yet, none of us realized what a fight this would become. Chemo, radiation, trial after trial and the cancer strikes back. Surgeries and brittle, broken bones seem to be the aftermath. Yet, under the cancer worn surface, it’s clear that her spirit is wearing down too.
Bills have piled up, no one realized how greedy this disease would be. Faith has wavered and family from all around rally to help. They plaster smiles on their faces with hopeful wishes in tow yet we are all dragging from the fight, Valerie most of all. Not everyday is hard, but the days that are seem unbearable. We will continue to rally and we will continue to hope but most of all, we will hold her up as she continues to fight.
