DAWG Bowl Check Presentation

Tyler frank and his children were surprised with the first check during DAWG Bowl XI for $5,000. Tyler’s sister Paige, who has been by his side and helping her brother through the loss of his wife, watched from Facetime. Thanks to the support of the hockey community, including the teams from the RMHL, DAWG Nation was honored to present this gift on behalf of the community in a time when Tyler needed a reminder that his journey hasn’t been forgotten. Tyler has done an amazing job of bringing joy back into his three children’s life and helping his family move forward.

A Family Filled with Love

Tyler and Raelynn met on the 4th of July in 2014 and it didn’t take long for them to realize that they were supposed to be together. Raelynn took Tyler’s son, Dakota, in like he was her own and loved them both with all of her heart. A year and a half later, she defied doctors who told her she would never have kids and in February of 2016 she had a beautiful little girl named Carter. Then two years later, another beautiful baby girl named Quinn. Their growing family was beautiful and filled them both with so much love.

An Unexpected Passing

Very unfortunately, Tyler received the call that no spouse ever wants to receive, on November 18, 2020, Raelynn had unexpectedly passed in her sleep. The love of his life and mother to his children was gone, leaving Tyler to navigate life and fatherhood on his own. Shortly after, he was informed that he would no longer be able to live in the house that him and Raelynn shared and raised their children together and is now looking to buy a house so that their babies always have a safe place to come home to.

Hockey and the Avs were a High Priority

Tyler has played hockey since he was young, and Tyler and Raelynn always were going to Avs games and taking the kids. If you listed the things Raelynn loved it would be… God, her family, and the Avs in that order.

We Stand Ready to Help with Your Help

Our deepest condolences to this young family. We appreciate the help of their family, friends and the hockey community helping this young father and family through this difficult time.
