Giving Back to the Graham Family

check Don Graham

A tragic event.

Don Graham was a long time Denver-area official, scheduler and former board member with CIHRA. Don also officiated in Wyoming and his home-state of Montana. He moved back to Montana just a year and half ago following a change in employment. Don is married to wife, Jana, and has two boys Dustin and Tanner. Dustin is a Denver-area official. Tanner lives with his mother in Montana. Among Don’s interests away from the rink were his passions for skydiving and road cycling.

Over the Memorial Day weekend, while riding his bike in Glacier National Park, Don suffered a sudden and unexpected cardiac event. He was riding alone and was found unresponsive alongside the road by another cyclist. Tragically, Don was pronounced deceased.

Many referees at CIHRA were very close with Don. While Don has not worked hockey games in the metro area in the recent year and a half, his contributions to the officiating community in Denver is immeasurable. We are all suffering from this tragic loss.

CIHRA will partner with DAWG Nation in a fundraising campaign to provide funds to the Graham family which might assist with financial burdens brought on by Don’s passing.
