Andrew Ouellette and parents

Andrew Ouellette comes from a longtime hockey family. His dad Tom has played for years in adult hockey leagues in the Denver area and currently plays in the Edge Old Time Hockey League (EOHL) at The Edge Ice Arena. Andrew and his older brother Eric have also been avid hockey players.

Andrew graduated this past spring from East High school and went on a trip to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico over the 4th of July with some of his buddies. He was severely injured when rough surf slammed him into the ocean bottom. The accident broke his neck and left him paralyzed. He has begun to regain some movement in his arms and hopefully soon in his hands. He has a long road of rehabilitation ahead of him, and one of the many challenges his family has faced is transporting Andrew to his physical therapy. Tom’s friends at EOHL have found a handicapped conversion van that meets his needs and are in the process of purchasing the van for the Ouellettes.

DAWG Nation is teaming up with Tom Ouellette’s friends at EOHL and others to purchase the van for Andrew.
