What began as our annual “Hedgie and Cappy” date night tuned into a night for the ages! Courtney Kellogg won this coveted auction item last summer and chose to have Sarah join her for the special night with Milan and Marty.
Like many Avs faithful, Sarah’s all time favorite hockey player is Super Joe Sakic. With this remarkable soul in fight for her life we wanted to make the night just a little more special by somehow including #19. Once Joe caught wind that his biggest fan was going to be in the house, he decided to make a legendary move by donating a suite for the evening. This made is it possible for us to bring the entire Hockey Heals crew along to spread the love!
The snowball kept growing as luck would have it, Ethan Glynn and his whole family had just arrived in town from Minnesota! Mr. Sakic carved out time to visit with his buddy Ethan and set up one of the sweetest surprise introductions you could imagine! And to top it all off, we were graced a powerful performance from our man, Luke Jones as he sang to us one of his favorites, “You Will Never Walk Alone”. Luke is an incredible vocal talent and always puts the icing on the cake!
