Brendan Huff has loved hockey from early as he can remember. He began playing at a young age and continues to hit the ice whenever he can.
Starring for Rock Canyon High School, Brendan was knocked unconscious in a high school game this past season. Due to the severity of the impact Brendan immediately began having a seizure on the ice. As this scary scene played out the ice, Cody Huff, Brendan’s father was one of the first to his son’s side. Time was of the essence as Brendan’s lips turned blue and eyes rolled into the back of his head. Fortunately Cody was able to remain relatively calm as he administered CPR and mouth to mouth resuscitation. Due to the quick work, Brendan’s airway was reopened and he began breathing. Paramedics arrived shortly thereafter rushing Brendan to the ER where he remained after diagnosed with a severe concussion. The journey as a been a challenging on with visits to a neurological specialist and rehab as Brendan slowly regains his footing.
